Pat McDougall races BSB with Phil Reed's "East Coast Racing" squad for 2010

01-11-2009

Pat and Phil Reed have reached agreement to race British Superbikes (FIM spec) for the 2010 season in Phil's "East Coast Racing" Yamaha squad. Discussions started after Pat rode successfully for the team in the Silverstone British Endurance Championship round (see news item here) in September. Phil was looking to expand his team to undertake BSB and also a full roads programme, for 2010 and Pat had shown that he could work well with the team and deliver results. With all that in mind it was a straightforward decision for the team and rider pairing to contest the BSB part of the team's 2010 programme.

Phil Reed commented "I have a passion for our sport and I am looking forward to expanding my team for 2010 to contest BSB and also the major roads events. I am also delighted to be able to bring Pat into the team for BSB. Together we are going to have a strong first year in the championship".

In Pat's words "It's a fantastic opportunity for me to move into BSB building on the relationship that I have with Phil and team. I cannot wait to get testing starting in Spain in January, and then to compete starting at Brands Hatch in April".

The team are competing at the Macau GP as part of their roads programme, with rider James McBride. From there the "Rob Mac Racing" built bikes will return to the UK in time for the beginning of winter testing in Almeria early January.
