Gino Rea's next update from his Spanish training
21-02-2009
Gino Rea continues his training "camp" in Spain organised by Julian Clark with mx and short circuit riders including Leon Camier. The latest update from Gino is:
"Yesterday we did a really hard cycle, we cycled to the St. Grau hill again (from the villa takes 50mins) then went up the climb, it took me 24mins. Pro cyclists do it in 19mins so for how long I have been cycling it's not a bad time at all, plus I was worn out from the training previously. We think that once I'm fresh, if I was to do it again, I could knock at least 2mins off my time. We then cycled from there back to the villa. We then finished the day off with mx riding. Today we have been riding mx all day so we are all really exhausted. It's definately the best training I have ever done. The plan was for everyone to leave tomorrow morning but me, Leon Camier and his brother Alex are going to stay out till Mon or Tue for some extra training, a bit with with Shane 'Shakey' Byrne, who lives not far from our villa. I should definately be in good shape when I'm back!"
