Gino Rea starts the Assen WSBK round with a free practice session today

Gino started his riding at this weekend's World Superbike round at Assen with free practice for the WSBK Superstock 600 Championship with Ten Kate Honda. Gino finished the session 4th fastest with a further practice tomorrow morning and qualifying in the afternoon before the race on Sunday. The schedule for the weekend is on the WSBK site here.
In addition to the Superstock 600 Championship, Gino is racing the next round of Dutch Superbikes for the Duntep team, which is also being held at Assen this weekend. The WSBK organisers have decided to use Gino's 600cc qualifying time for both the Superstock and Dutch Superbike rounds and therefore it is probable that Gino will need a fast start in the Dutch Superbike race to get quickly to the front.
