Gino Rea prepares for Dutch Superbike race this weekend

10-04-2009

Gino has spent the last two days at Assen to test on his Superstock 600 bike prior to the WSBK round, and also to prepare for his Dutch Superbike round this weekend. Gino and his Ten Kate teammate Maxime Berger are riding Superbikes in Sunday's race for the Dutch "Duntep" team. In Gino's words:

"Today it has been nice and sunny, we had some good sessions. It was pretty hard jumping off a 30min session on the 600 straight to the 1000 for 30mins! It took a bit of time at the beginning of each session to get used to the bike again. But still, I was 3rd fastest in both (Superbike) sessions. I was only a few tenths off Maxime Berger who was 2nd in the first session but had some problems in the second session and was 6th. So we are not far off at all and still improving every time. Tomorrow I will be able to concentrate on the 1000 which is important as it's qualifying (for Sunday's race). I'm looking forward to it!"
