Gino Rea on the podium in 2nd to close the gap on the Championship lead

Gino and the Ten Kate Honda team finished in 2nd today at the Donington round of the WSBK Superstock 600 Championship.
Gino started from 2nd on the grid and made a good start before dropping back a little during the first lap. Gino then fought his way to the front and with a number of riders crashing around him, focused on his developing battle with Marco Bussolotti. That battle continued through to the finish with the lead changing between the two riders. Bussolotti though took the lead at the Melbourne Loop on the last lap and held that position to the line. Bussolotti 1st and Gino 2nd.
With Petrucci crashing and then re-mounting but finishing down the order, Gino has closed the gap to the Championship lead heading into the Brno round on 26th July.
