Dan and Rob Mac Racing battled their way to a great 3rd place podium finish in today's BSB British Supersport Championship race at Thruxton. From 6th on the grid Dan started well into the first corner but an accident involving Dennis Hobbs and Lee Johnston Red Flagged the race. At the restart another good start gave Dan the platform to move through to the front over the first two laps and following that a three way battle ensued between James Westmoreland, Billy McConnell and Dan for the lead. That continued until two laps from the end when they were joined by a charging Steve Plater. All four riders then exchanged positions with the final outcome Dan 3rd, Steve Plater 2nd and Billy McConnell 1st with James Westmoreland squeezed into 4th. Another great race to watch and one that leaves Dan in a secure third place in the championship from which to chase down Billy McConnell and Steve Plater starting at Snetterton in three weeks time.
