Dan Linfoot and Gino Rea at WSBK Magny Cours this weekend
29-09-2009
We are heading to Magny Cours for what should be an exciting weekend of racing this weekend. Both Dan (with Rob Mac Racing) and Gino (with Ten Kate Honda) are racing with Dan as a wildcard in Supersport and Gino battling for the championship title in Superstock 600.
Having moved to British Superbike last weekend at Silverstone, Dan is getting back on his Supersport bike for one last event this season before returning to Superbike at Oulton Park. It is going to be great fun competing with the World grid including friends Eugene Laverty and Chas Davies. The circuit is one of Dan's favorites having won there last season in Superstock 600.
Gino is very much in the running for the WSBK Superstock 600 title with only 17 points between Gino and championship leader Petrucci and 50 points still available. Gino is in great form following his second place last weekend at Imola and will be looking to reduce the deficit as much as possible before the final round at Portimao.
The weekend schedule will be available soon on the WSBK website here.
Eurosport will definitely be covering the Supersport race but we are not certain about the Superstock 600 race. Both are also available to watch at the WSBK website.
A photo of Dan and Gino last year at Magny Cours is in the mobile blog here. Photos of Dan and Gino from last year's race are available on our 2008 website here.
