Christian Iddon in hospital with a suspected broken wrist from Supermoto World Championship at Mallory Park today

During the second Supermoto World Championship race today at Mallory Park Christian was involved in a crash that ended his race and left him with a suspected broken wrist. He is on his way to hospital now to have the wrist examined. Understandably this is very frustrating for Christian who suffered a broken wrist last season that affected his championships substantially.
Update 31-05-09:
The hospital visit confirmed that Christian's injury is two bone breaks at the base of his thumb. A visit to a specialist tomorrow (Monday) will decide the next steps to repair the fractures.
