Christian Iddon crashes from strong position when bike jumps out of gear

Christian started well in the KTM RC8 Supercup event at Cadwell moving into a top four group fighting for podium positions. Christian was comfortable and was able to pass when he needed to and to hold position when more appropriate. By lap five Christian was in second behind Dave Wood and feeling comfortable but going into Hairpin corner the bike jumped out of gear (a problem that occurred earlier in the weekend) leaving Christian with no engine breaking and the bike when straight on into the barriers.
A frustrating result for Christian but from here he now has a string of World Supermoto Championship events starting next weekend in Italy. See event list here.
